🧩 3.3.3 – Complete Your Business Model Canvas

✍️ It Is Time to Apply What You Have Learned!

In this section, you will complete the nine building blocks of your own Canvas based on the business idea you have been developing.

You do not need to have everything fully defined. The aim is to reflect, explore, and organise your ideas. Use your creativity and remember: this is a living draft that you will be able to revise later.

🧭 How Should You Complete It?

You can choose one of the following options:

  1. 🟨 Online (recommended):
  2. 🖨️ Offline (on paper):
    • Download the Business Model Canvas template.
    • Print the PDF template available in the materials section.
    • Use sticky notes or write directly in each building block.

🧩 3.3.4 – Validate Your Idea—with Someone Else or by Yourself

⏱ Duration: 15–30 minutes
📍 Format: Short questionnaire or practical homework task

🎯 Objective

Carry out a simple test to determine whether your idea makes sense—even if you only test it with one person!

✍️ Reflective Questionnaire

📝 Answer the following questions based on the Business Model Canvas you have completed:

1. Can you explain your idea in one or two simple sentences?

📌 Short answer

2. Which part of the business model seems the weakest or most uncertain? Why?

📌 Long answer

3. If you could ask a potential customer one question, what would you ask?

📌 Short answer

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Practical Task: Simple Validation

👂 Challenge: Present your idea to one person in your network, such as a friend, family member, colleague, or neighbour, and ask them two questions:

  1. Did you understand the idea?
  2. Would you pay for this? Alternatively, do you know someone who would?

📥 Afterwards, answer the following questions:

  1. Who did you speak to? You do not need to provide their full name.
  2. What did they tell you?
  3. Will you change anything based on their feedback?

🔁 Note for participants:

This stage is optional but highly recommended. A good business idea improves every time we test it with a real person!

🧩 3.3.5 – Final Reflection: Iterate, Improve, and Move Forward

🔄 The Business Model Canvas Is Not Final—It Is a Starting Point!

All business models change over time. Sometimes the target audience changes. At other times, we realise that a communication or distribution channel is ineffective or that the value proposition is unclear.

At this stage, the most important thing is to examine your Canvas critically and consider:

💡 What would you change? What have you learned? Which elements are already well developed?

✍️ Final Reflection Questionnaire

1. If you could change only one of the nine building blocks, which one would it be? Why?

📌 Type: Long answer

2. What was the greatest challenge you faced when completing your Canvas?

📌 Type: Short answer

3. What did you learn about your business idea by completing this exercise?

📌 Type: Long answer

4. How would you like to develop this idea during the next stages—MVP, prototype, pitch, or something else?

📌 Type: Short or long answer

🧠 Tip for Those Who Want to Go Further

Save a copy of your Canvas and return to it after testing your idea with real customers. Every interaction may provide new insights—or reveal hidden problems.
