3.1.1 – Introduction to Green Entrepreneurship

🌿 Welcome to the world of green businesses!

In this first part of the module, you will take your first steps into the world of businesses that not only generate economic value but also care for the environment and the communities in which they operate.

Whether through land restoration, waste reduction, or the development of sustainable solutions, green businesses are transforming rural areas into spaces for innovation and positive impact.

Let us begin with a simple reflection: What do you already know about this type of initiative? You do not need to know everything—this is just the starting point of a journey filled with inspiring ideas, examples, and challenges.

🎯 Module objectives:

  • Understand what a green business is.
  • Distinguish green businesses from traditional businesses.
  • Recognise environmental and social value as a key differentiating factor.
  • Prepare to develop proposals that create a positive impact.

🌱 Initial reflection on green businesses

Before exploring the definition of a green business in greater depth, we would like to find out what you already know.

Think about businesses you are familiar with that contribute positively to the environment or society in some way.

Do not worry about finding the “right answer”—we want to know what ideas you already have!

🕓 Take three minutes to reflect and provide one example.
