General objective: The aim of the module is to prepare participants for independent and sustainable farming using modern digital tools in crop and livestock production, even in the conditions of small farms with limited resources. In the module, we will show how technologies such as IoT (Internet of Things)and connected solutions are transforming agriculture by enabling smart farming practices that enhance efficiency, sustainability, and productivity. The sharing economy or simple software tools can contribute to increasing efficiency, reducing costs and better planning of work. 

Specific objectives:

Participant will be able to:

  1. Explain the importance of digitalization in contemporary agriculture, especially in the context of small and sustainable farming. 
  2. Recognize basic types of digital technologies (e.g. sensors, drones, location systems, data applications) and their benefits for effective agricultural activities. 
  3. Apply the principles of precision agriculture to small farm conditions, including examples of specific tools and practices. 
  4. Evaluate the benefits and risks associated with the use of digital tools, including environmental, economic and organizational aspects.
